rolling to impeach him? Seriously. Do we start a pool lottery?

(4,533 posts)What they care about is Trump support among Republican primary voters. They cant complain about Trump until they are safe from a primary challenge. In other words they will never cross Trump until they plan to resign, like Corker.

(46,757 posts)They are watching with interest as Trump tries to destroy Obama's legacy, like Obamacare and this subsidy issue. Think about it, the legislature could not do it because of public resistance, so Trump is going to try to chip it away until it dies from lack of attention. (Like the strategy he's using for Puerto Rico). If he succeeds, that's a win for the red meat voters. The Republicans who are facing reelection have what they want. And under this scenario, as long as it looks like Trump is succeeding, they will not impeach.
With the money focused away from Obamacare and Puerto Rico relief aid, they have the money to justify the tax break.
This is exactly how Republican communities operate on a local level. They take the money away from issues that help the whole, and squirrel it away to their core group.

(51,076 posts)is to tarnish the Black Mans legacy and until they feel they've done that there will be no behavior changes on their part. Look how long it took to allow a black person to compete in the sports world. Hell even in the world of country music. Hell, they kept the fact that Charlie Pride was a black man from us for a long time.
I'm telling you we live in a country of racist mo'fos. It became painfully obvious when It was clear that Barack Obama was going to be our Democratic Nominee. The racist assholes started coming out of the wood word, if you recall
These racist assholes are afraid that now that we have seen and know a person other than a white man can be President they've been shaken to their core that they'll lose what they covet so much, POWER
I'm an old mostly white man BTW. I see the writing on the wall for what it is.

(46,757 posts)I know what you are talking about. Trump has brought out the racist agenda out in the open. But, the pattern has had covert cover for some time. I have been living in a community that has been living in the "Racism for the 21st Century" since the nineties. The White Privilege concept goes hand in hand with racist results. They don't have to use derogatory terms, or carry torches. Everything about their red suburban community is stacked in their favor. They have just learned how to hide their dominance agenda in the political and community development process.
I think, that those of us who have been harmed by it should be able to show a pattern of favoritism and discrimination in order to make the case for racism.
