(2,404 posts)That was always his plan. If he couldn't push it through Congress, he was going to kill it by sabotage and EO. Millions will now lose coverage and die, and neither he nor the Republicons give a fuck.

(20,254 posts)jumped out at me. It has been said before that the Affordable Care Act was "signed into LAW".
How can the undoing/dismantling of any part of that stand as being 'legally' acceptable.
I guess the crapping on of our democracy, the constitution, etc. is the answer to that.

(2,404 posts)The Cons don't care. They have no problem with authoritarian rule, as long as they are the ones in power.
America is over.

(10,178 posts)changes were made to Obamacare,by Obama, AFTER it was signed into law .
I have no idea what they were but IIRC one of the changes had to do with a date change.
Maybe there is a way.

(51,622 posts)their personal bank accounts continue to increase. Is there a stronger word than "despise"? I despise the GOP and 45 with every fiber of my being.
This country sucks! Any country that would allow this to happen automatically is despicable and loathsome as far as I am concerned. This is our darkest hour since Watergate and the Vietnam war.

(58,785 posts)We'll have to see what can be blocked, but the president is required to administer laws enacted by congress according to their intent.
Itm, of course, insurance companies need market stability to be able to set rates, and they they will not have.

(544 posts)We hit some kind of "prescription maximum" about a month ago and pills that normally cost my wife about $50 were $900 last month. And my insurance is a good one... considered one of those "cadillac plans".
And this is coming from someone who can AFFORD to use my insurance. What about the millions out there who have insurance but if they had any sort of major or chronic condition they would be bankrupted all the same. Being able to afford insurance does not mean a person can afford to USE the insurance. Health Insurance is NOT Health Care.
Deep down, some illogical irate part of my soul wishes the insurance industry would fail, implode, be killed or collapse altogether and the government would be forced to step in and provide some sort of single payer or Medicare for all.
