Former Republican member of congress: 'Trump is unhinged. We are waiting to get tax bill through before impeachment'

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-impeachment-latest-robert-reich-former-republican-senator-unhinged-tax-bill-us-a7996341.html

Republicans are waiting to pass their tax-reform bill before they move to impeach Donald Trump, a former Republican member of Congress reportedly told a former US labour secretary.

In a Facebook post, Robert Reich said the former senator, an old friend of his, told him Republicans are "just praying Trump doesn't do something really, really stupid before the tax bill."

Speaking over the phone, Mr Reich said he asked his friend whether other Republican senators were preparing to follow Senator Bob Corker and "call it quits with Trump".

His source told him: "Others are thinking about doing what Bob did. Sounding the alarm. They think Trump’s nuts. Unfit. Dangerous."

Sorry, Bob. I like a lot of what you have to say, but this is one of those "trust, but verify" situations.

Once the tax giveaway bill goes through, Republicans will name some other bill as the one they need to pass before impeachment. And then the next, and then the next, etc.

If he should be impeached, then impeach him. Otherwise, these GOP cowards are knowingly risking the nation and the constitution for the sake of a handout to the worst welfare queens of all.

Anonymous friends who deliver his messages in stilted dialogues. I assume they're all fictional, but he keeps it ambiguous as to whether we're meant to think so. I really dislike this device of his.

Republicans are cowards.
They are too craven to impeach Trump.
They are too divided and locked in their various tribes to even begin to write a cogent tax policy with reforms and cuts, let alone muster the 60 votes, that would need Dems, to pass it.
