I JUST moved seats in a theatre to get away from some right wing nuts.

They are playing the advertisements right now before the film. I'm about to see Bladerunner 2049 (don't spoil it for me please). Anyway I get my seat. I sit down with my popcorn. All the lights are on and people haven't all come in so people are talking. Which is fine. Behind me I suddenly hear 2 older guys loudly talk about the shooting in Last Vegas. One guy loudly chuckles and laughed at the fact that increasing gun control would do nothing. That that many people are killed every day in the US. I rarely ever hear people talking like this here in Canada. I didn't want to be anywhere near that much toxicity so I IMMEDIATELY grabbed my drink and popcorn and jacket and walked over to the other side of the isle to change seats. I hope they realised that's why I did it too!!!

that way the blame can be placed on the real reason that this happened which is our gun crazy mentality and the lax gun laws of the greedy, male dominant GOP/NRA ! If they can't blame it on mental health, religious fanatics, political fanatics, racial prejudices, foreign terrorists, a woman having PMS, a kid getting a D- on a term paper, a senior citizen with dementia, a cheating spouse, etc.then they have nothing left to use as an excuse for allowing this to happen non stop.

7. They'll try to find something to blame it on

They have to, otherwise they have to admit that rich asshole had way too many guns, had a bad reputation as a jerk who treated others like dirt and the combination proved deadly.

They'll have to admit that he had TOO MANY GUNS and that fact alone may have been the engine that drove this to it's horrible conclusion.

I wonder if the purchase of all these weapons then made it a certainty they would eventually be used this way?.

An alternate reason than being purchased just for this.

It's funny to say that but even knowing that Harrison ford is in this movie to reprise his role is a spoiler.

2049 though I think is a real masterpiece!

I can't quite decide yet 100% so I'm going back to watch it tomorrow.
