There is much more to today's Trump than is being reported...

Did this Tillerson speech shake Trump up enough to make him dull, wooden, quiet and reserved? He's not with it today. He was hesitant disembarking from the plane even though Melania was holding his hand.

What talks he gave that I saw were without interest on his part or enthusiasm toward those he spoke to. It was as though he was drugged or had been knocked down so far, he couldn't rise to the occasion.

His reading of the speech was mechanical and juvenile in its presentation. Was he told he couldn't go off script?

Perhaps he's short on sleep, what with his early morning tweeting and bad press on the PR visit. It is a stretch to the imagination to think he doesn't sleep like a baby (having little to no concern for others), but it could be catching up to him. That, and the thought of time behind bars.

Something is different.

if he doesn't see the inside of a cell I'll lose all faith in our government. I'm not talking about a walk though either. This cretin needs a long term stay

and the fact that Tillerson would not deny making it. He *has* to be aware that "Morning Joe"--which he is known to watch--brutalized him over the PR fiasco. He has to have heard about the Corker remarks. He may be aware that Mueller is investigating the limits of his pardon ability, and that Jared and Ivanka are probably in trouble with the law. *And* the thought of time behind bars. I would say that Donnie is in desperate need of over-the-top fawning and ridiculously overblown praise. I wouldn't be Malaria for all the tea in China.

Melania was sure keeping her eye on him. He reminds me of someone who got overly upset about something/worried about something, which, as we all can agree to, would involve himself. He's the only one he truly cares about.

Then, after some medication, he became docile, acting in a strange way with his attention off in space somewhere. He simply wasn't with it. Very short of breath, as well.

Maybe Tillerson AND Kelly will both flip him their goodbyes.

Maybe it's just the weight of the presidency getting to him, but I agree with what you said. He's always been unstable, but recently, it seems likes he's just really "off".

I think he's exhausted. Flew down to Puerto Rico, did all of the PR stuff there, getting hammered by the press coverage, and now flying across the country to LA. That'll exhaust anyone, especially someone at his age and subpar physical condition.

and was medicated to calm him down. Generally, he steps off the plane and leaves Melania behind a couple steps, but she held his hand and he still wasn't too secure in stepping off the platform. He didn't attempt to adlib, simply went through the speech methodically and was more robot-like than normal. I don't make it a habit to listen to his speeches, but just enough to know today was different.

Something is up.

Didn't he do the same thing with Spicer right before he let him go?

My thought was Kelly must have told him to stay on-script and he didn't like it. He prefers to speak off the cuff, which always gets him in trouble. Kelly has certainly reacted to such times.

Somebody must have read him the riot act. I hope he got told to straighten up, act like an adult, and not make light of serious situations. In other words, a dose of reality.

At least, I sure hope so.
