Trump's Las Vegas visit to congratulate himself is juxtaposed
to his previous musing, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, okay, and I wouldn't lose any voters, okay?" Trump said at a rally in Sioux Center, Iowa as the audience laughed. "It's, like, incredible."
Maybe he identifies with Paddock. Paddock was a millionaire and shot people in a public place. Maybe Trump admires successfully killing people in a public place.
As with McCain being captured and saying he's not a hero, maybe he secretly sees the people who were wounded and killed as just making the N.R.A.look bad.
