maybe I'm just hoping for too much.

Do we know what prompted this press conf.? I assume it is to some extent Kabuki, in that it is designed to prompt some sort of response / reaction from the admin.

I do have a lot of respect for and confidence in these two senators.

they have said they ran into a "wall" with Steele dossier. They can't get him to testify? Because he is not an American citizen?

Burr says they’ve “hit a wall” on Steele Dossier; Steele won’t talk to Senate.

Mueller less likely to hit a wall on compelling witnesses.

I would assume they and Mueller are carving out different focuses to some degree.

Wondering what the subtext is here...what are they signalling?

to influence the election, and said the Facebook ads and attempted hacks theoretically could have swung votes in even a few states, which could have changed the election results. They have no more information about the Steele dossier because they haven't been able to interview Steele. They will not release any documents to the public at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

no one any longer (except tRump) doubts Russia meddled. Attempted to "collude." What is needed is hard evidence that tRump's campaign - and those in his innermost circle - cooperated. Also disappointed they haven't gotten through to Steele.

Also, they want to wrap up their investigation by the end of this year.

Still listening. ...

Thanks.

Party on the Committee get to write the report. If you listened to the verbiage, the GOP Members are about a half inch from a White Wash. All one needed to understand this was, watch Warner's facial expressions as Burr read from his written remarks. BTW,Burr was the Senior GOP Senator to Trump's Transition Team.

"Comey memo investigation: The committee has concluded its look into the James Comey memos, saying all questions around his firing should be directed to counsel."
