required to live in a modern society. Like you said these weapons are designed to kill large numbers of people quickly.
On the one hand you have our modern economy built in part on trucks
On the other hand you have a hobby, a exceedingly rare home defense scenario, or an even rarer totalitarian take over by the government scenario.
