White American men are a bigger domestic terrorist threat than Muslim foreigners

When President Donald Trump signed his since-revised executive order banning people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, he claimed it was to protect Americans from “radical Islamic terrorists.”

“We don’t want ‘em here,” Trump told reporters at the Pentagon, where he signed the order in January.

But in the eight months since Trump took office, more Americans have been killed in attacks by white American men with no connection to Islam than by Muslim terrorists or foreigners.

Radical Islamic terrorists inspired or directed by groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda do pose a clear threat to the US. There is no question about that. Before last night’s deadly shooting in Las Vegas, the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history occurred in June 2016 when an ISIS-inspired man opened fire in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 49 people and wounding 53.

1. My thoughts exactly! Why are 90%+ of murderers MEN???????

I have brought this up on DU in the past and I never get many replies. And if I ask how do we begin to prevent this I get 0 replies. It seems like men and women in government, society and even here on DU never want to address this constant common. WHY!!!!!

Why won't anyone ever say that MEN are violent killers, men fill the jails, men commit violent acts......

Are we supposed to disregard this fact and and say "Oh, it's just testosterone. You have to expect and accept it" ?

This is the single factor that most killing and violent acts have in common...much more common than religion, mental illness, economic hardship, politics, etc.

I watched Vietnam by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick and it was said that animals only kill for food and self preservation. They kill because they have to. People are supposed to have a brain and be very rational but obviously men are NOT!

Yes, some women do commit violent crimes but there is no comparison so do not attempt to use that BS argument.

6. I'll take a stab at it

Mental illness. Men are less likely to seek help for mental illness than women. Above all else, I believe this factor contributes greatly to men being responsible for more violent crimes. A second reason might be access to guns.
