AND OTHER STRAIGHT UP BS TO KEEP FROM CALLING STEPHEN PADDOCK WHAT HE WAS - A WHITE MALE TERRORIST!!!
For the 2000 People Attending The Country Music Concert In Las Vegas on Sunday Night, 60+ People Killed Regardless of Ethnic Background, 500+ Individuals Injured Who Frankly Do Not Give A Flip, Flying, Flip about the Excuses Made For Stephen Paddock -- PADDOCK MEANT TO CAUSE THEM TERROR AND KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE IN LAS VEGAS.
Period!
(Will keep adding Stephen Paddock excuses heard in the media at large, as we hear/read them.... )

(10,926 posts)I'm happy to call it a terror attack.
Curious as to why you are completely invested in his whiteness and maleness, though.

(7,006 posts)If he was Arabic and Male or Female for that matter, would that not be called out in the Media? How about by the So-Called President? What about yourself?
The facts are, what they are. #DealWithIt

(10,926 posts)Now what? What would you do next?

(7,006 posts)Third, Deal with the Issue of RACE, CLASS, GUNS, and RACISM in this country because until all of those things are dealt with Stephen Paddock's and other terrorist actions like Paddock took on 2000 Innocent Lives In Vegas will continue to happen.

(10,926 posts)makes no sense.
I get that you're exercised about it, but you seem to care more about payback than anything else.

(9,898 posts)Reasons are not excuses and as far as I'm concerned we should always be looking for reasons. No matter who the actor is.
I guess I don't get your point. Most mass shooters in this country are white males. Not all, but most. Does someone say different?

(11,748 posts)Given that most acts of violence including political terrorism and mass shootings are carried out by men, I would say that being a man and what messages are being given to men about violence, their roles in society, and how they solve problems would be very important discussions to have.
I think that the White part is more a reaction to the fact that when people of color commit acts of violence, their race, ethnicity, and religion (except Christian) are often mentioned in the equation and presented as important. When White people commit similar acts, they are separated from their Whiteness which unlike being Black, Latino, Muslim, etc... is not ever an important contributor to any potential violence.

(18,641 posts)Anything else said about him at this point only tells something about the person saying it, not the shooter.

(7,006 posts)For the White Male Who Killed 60+ and injured 500+ People in Vegas on Sunday. If that "justification" makes others disgustingly feel better about the terror, the terrorist, the incident itself.....that's sad. Beyond so.

(13,390 posts)It would not have been possible if not for his large crowd of supporters. The NRA, gun advocates, and policy makers supported every step he took to get to the point where he carried out this terrorism.

(2,434 posts)as many people as possible hurt as much as he did because of his failed life.
But damn, that's hard to accept.
