They know damn well if they were in that crowd and carrying a gun, there wouldn't have been a damn thing they could have done to stop this guy. And he was probably using weapons that they salivate over owning.

(33,982 posts)He was pausing to reload like a mag-charged weapon, albeit, a big magazine like a Beta-C. He didn't run it like a belt fed.
Also, a .30 cal full auto would have been way worse. WAY worse. Willing to bet he was using an AR-15/mini-14 or similar.

(47,953 posts)they are all imagining how they would have cooly drawn their weapon and blasted the killer from 32 floors below, watching as his body fell, in slow motion, to crush some prius parked below. Just like in their favorite movies.
They don't live in reality.

(3,784 posts)............if it wasn't for that damn Clinton, I and all the other people at the concert would have calmly pulled out our handy rocket launchers, which the 2nd Amendment says we should have the right to carry with us everywhere we go, and just taken down the entire building.

(33,982 posts)They are classified as Destructive Devices, not Firearms, and are not covered under the NFA or any other firearms related laws. That's why nobody has them, outside the military and companies engaged in the business of manufacturing or repairing them for the military.

(33,982 posts)Going up against a rifle with a pistol is a no-win scenario even before you add in the problem of distance and elevation. It wouldn't even amount to suppressing fire. It would just single you out as the next target.

(20,014 posts)many of the victims themselves likely defended the asshole's RKBA--because he might use them to take down a mass shooter someday!

Suffice it to say my feelings, and condolences goes out to all victims that didn't support tRump, and pro-gun candidates. For them I will continue to fund and support candidates that want to implement sensible gun control laws as a minimum.
