I object to the detailed video/audio coverage of gun tragedies: It's glorification

and IMHO, which I can't prove, it just encourages others that gunz make you powerful. That seems like a good solution to those who are marginalized or have emotional/psycholocigal issues.

I should NOT be hearing automatic machine gun fire on my tv.

And, no, this will not generate gun control. Nothing ever will. Gun owners don't care.

There is only so much basic information to be had. Once that's known, the story should be OVER. And some SANE gun safety laws should be enacted. Can these incidents be completely prevented? Of course not. But if it's more difficult to obtain deadly, military-style weapons (that frankly shouldn't be available to the public, IMO), then it's worth it. If better safety laws stop just ONE of these massacres, then it's well worth it.

Unfortunately, gun manufacturing in the U.S. is a $15 billion-a-year business, with one of the most powerful lobbies on the planet -- the NRA. One could move heaven and earth before that "axis of evil" could be dragged an inch toward reason.
