Marilou lived with a man named Stephen Paddock​ in Mesquite, Nevada.

Stephen is a registered sex offender.


All the descriptions that I've read indicate police are looking for the woman--Marilou Danley--who was with the suspect and none of
the descriptions read as the wife of the suspect.

Name of the shooter has not been released although he has been identified. It will be interesting to see if it's the boyfriend and man
she was living with--not her husband--or the husband.

Police are also describing the shooter as a "local" and Mesquite is much closer to Las Vegas than Reno, where presumably her husband lives.

They would not have released the dead suspect's name over police scanners. Paddock was likely just some other guy who's name got picked up by the people listening to the police scanners (and an unrelated crime).

edit: looks like it was that guy, after all, due to the fact that they had to secure the residence.
