People have lost their livelihoods there, tourism is all they have. There has not been any mentioned of them, horrible. They lost a lot also. We are all aware what is happening with our climate until those deniers face the facts more people will be forced off these Islands. So where are these people supposed to go without help to rebuild especially now with don the dick here?

Zero discussion, even though it was comparable to Maria.

St Johns. Charter captain, IT (freelance) guy. Roof came off the house, 3 boats damaged, only one repairable. And that at great cost.

Gets sporadic internet. Says the first sign of aid came this morning. A huge bunch of soldiers. Nothing more information wise.

His wife has cancer. So they stayed. But now, with electronics not up, her EBT card doesn't work. And that her prescriptions are available but they only take cash because electronic banking, ATMs etc aren't working. I asked him to clarify but he scrounges for internet so he isn't very reliable.

He's shown pictures of marinas, docks and the streets. Boats on roads, cars underwater and trees down everywhere. It is like nothing above 3 ft tall survived. No trees, nothing.

Going forward he is kind of screwed. Boats damaged, under insured. No tourists either. He's too old to take part in the work that will need to be done to wire the island. His regulars aren't coming back, he worked for a lot of tour based companies.
One good thing though. Cigarettes are hard to come by and he ran out days ago. Maybe he will go long enough to stop smoking. I'd really like that.

All the Caribbean Islands that got hit hard, and even ones that got hit less hard. They all need restored to some semblance of normalcy.
Press and T.V. where are you? It's time they learned to cover more than one story at a time.
And the trump needs to be in the mix.

All the video looks awful. Local TV did a bit of coverage with camera crew that went in with mobile hospital and support that flew in from Bragg.
