Religious demonstrators causing concern for parents and students

OSHKOSH, Wis. Out-of-state religious demonstrators target students this week at two Oshkosh high schools, prompting concerns from parents and even college students who also saw the protesters at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus.

The demonstrators were at both Oshkosh West and Oshkosh North high schools using bullhorns and yelling religious chants from the sidewalk.

"In both occasions we had our school resource officer was on scene and did just monitor what was going on to ensure that there weren't any problems between these demonstrators and anyone else," said Lt. Andy Lecker, Oshkosh Police Department.

Lisa Angell, a mother of an Oshkosh North student says she's concerned about the safety of the students. Angell tells us the protesters were using derogatory terms toward female students.

I can't get on the parking lot at my daughter's high school without an SRO demanding my ID, my destination and reason for being on grounds. If a person is not at the school for school business then they are redirected off grounds
If they refuse they can be arrested for trespassing.
Heck, you can't even take small children to school playgrounds after hours here without being stopped by an officer and informed you're trespassing.

Why they were on a college campus though, that bugs me.

These "street preachers" love making all sorts of noise, calling college kids names, one of them got his bell rung with a baseball bat on one campus.

And wherever fundys rear their ugly heads, they cause havoc.

6. Would like to know what they said to female students

It is a rough message for young girls but I hope this makes them not take their rights for granted and show them how hateful these perverted woman oppressors are. So many young women take it all for granted and don’t see the threats- they fall for the “feminism means hating men” message.
