Trump's War With PR Mayor Plays To His Base. They Likely Support Doing Nothing.

The GOP and the GOP base really do not care about Puerto Rico because it does not vote in the general election. And it has no effect politically. Now if it were a red state there would be several divisions in the area and all the help you could want.

It makes you wonder what would happen to a blue state. Then again we see what happened with Sandy. Notice how quickly the GOP acted for Florida and Texas.
