POLL: Roy Moore: 50.2% Democrat Doug Jones: 44.5%

https://ddhq.io/2017/09/29/alabama-senate-special-election-poll/

Perhaps the most interesting part:

Among African-American voters, Moore peels off 24.8% to Jones’ 70.9%, while among white voters, Jones has a surprising 36.1% to Moore’s 58.5%.

If you can keep that number of white voters and get AA voters to not vote for a racist... dems could win this.

In another time he would have been a full blown segregationist. Hell he probably is now but doesn't talk about it.

But.. he has made many statements that need to be brought to the attention of AL’s AA community. Plus Jones literally put KKK members in jail.

Not sure if they can get the white number down. One would think they are mostly educated whites.

They are much more in your face to African Americans and Hispanics down there, very intimidating.

Surely we need to be piling major resources into this race, and pushing Moore's most extreme statements to his most vulnerable voting groups.

Alabama Democratic Party (usually provides the apparatus to win the race including on the ground staff and support--- it is important to help out to keep them going year round)
DSCC (Arm of the Democratic Party responsible for winning US senate races. Funnels money into the state party for staff, etc and does independent ads, mailers, etc)
DOug Jones directly

In addition I've been emailed by Democracy for America already about this race. If I get other emails from other organizations, I'll post here.

Caucasians outnumber African Americans three to one. Jones needs to do a lot better with Caucasians. Hypothetically, it needs to be like Jones' 45% to Moore's 49.5% for AA to make a difference.

The normal range for dems is about 17% of the white
Vote. That number is as good as it will get.
They just can’t go home to Moore.
