This might seem like a minor observation but I think it affords a valuable insight into Trump's process of thought and decision.

"You can't drive there. Puerto Rico is in the ocean. A big ocean. It's called the Atlantic."

That's a paraphrase, but it corresponds to the text of many of Trump's explanations to the camera whether the issue is health care or tax overhaul or even many smaller issues of even moderate complexity.

The reason Trump talks like a child when explaining policy is because that's how his advisors have to explain it to him.

That tells us something very important about his relationship to aides and advisors as well as about their assessment of him.
