Why on earth did the USOC go with the snooty Ralph Lauren-designed uniforms anyway? Under Armor is an American, minority-owned sports clothing company whose factory is in Baltimore! I guess they'd rather go with a label that's synonymous with the 1% than one that's synonymous with actual SPORTS APPAREL.
But then, that's just me.

I did not know Under Armor was minority owned, they would have been a much better choice,

Overall, it adds to the sort of authoritarian look he wants to communicate.
