Sara Huckster Sanders says that Comey broke the law by releasing a document that was

public. Then turns around and says that she is not a lawyer and can't say if Comey broke the law. I wish these reporters at the press conference would follow up immediately when she contradicts herself. She does it constantly.

resembled something that possibly came from an FBI computer. No facts, mind you, but she is suspicious nonetheless.

Now the White House is on the record as saying both that Comey broke the law and that he didn't break the law. Depending on the context, any White House mouthpiece can sigh heavily when asked about Comey, and say that the subject has already been addressed. Then they can say he broke the law or he didn't break the law, depending on what serves their needs of the moment. It's highly unlikely that their interviewer will remember that Sanders made two contradictory statements, so the White House will skitter away and live to lie another day.
