We're the Only Plane in the Sky

"Where was the president in the eight hours after the Sept. 11 attacks? The strange, harrowing journey of Air Force One, as told by the people who were on board."

I found this article to be fascinating. And I couldn't help but think of how horrible it would be if Trump was president during something like 9/11.

The Air Force (and probably other branches) had plenty of aircraft aloft. Plus, a few plush airliners getting any Saudi royals safely out of the country.

"We're the only plane in the sky" is a quote from one of the Air Force One crew. It is not something I wrote or said.

The article, for your information, is a series of recollections of the day from people who were on Air Force One that day. It is long and will take you awhile to read, but it is fascinating how those of us on the ground were more aware of what was happening than the president and those around him on the aircraft. They had very little communication with the ground while in the air.

When no one else was flying at all.

Always bothered me, that little nugget of fact.

That and the shredded air controller tapes Cheney was recorded on.

Yeah, Bush seems like a towering inferno of competency next to Trump, but a lot of people suffered and died for his doltish logic as well.

When Karl Rove is quoted as saying nice and fuzzy things, I know something is truly wrong. That man is a bloodless butcher, the precursor to Trump, and a traitor to the United States.

WTF with this post. Politico sanitizes the Bush Regime.
