I don't live in NYC anymore but since Sept., 11, 2001 it has been displayed on my desk. I honor the real heroes from that day everyday. I can and never will forget.
I am also angry with 45 for banning Muslims from so many "dangerous/terrorist" countries but NOT Saudi Arabia where most of the hijackers were from. He visited that country and fondled a glowing orb while kissing their asses before heading to Europe and alienating and insulting our true allies and killing our climate agreement.

(27,817 posts)I actually heard the report quoted from on a news magazine show (either 20/20 or 60 Minutes) a few months after 9/11, and guess what? They never once mentioned that it was authored by Al Gore, they never once brought up that the GOP wouldn't act on it.
I remember sitting there with my mouth agape. How could that not have come up? If nothing else, it should have sunk Bush in 2004.

(51,615 posts)Bush and the GOP were still riding high (his popularity dropped a lot after the 2004 election when people finally learned that we were lied to about the reasons for going to war). Even if it did come out, very few would've listened. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
