Trump Effect: Biracial 8-year-old boy lynched by teenagers in New Hampshire

The Trump Effect continues. A nation can rot from its head, and there are many indications that we are seeing that more now than ever in recent times. Why would a 14 yr old kid lynch an 8-year-old bi-racial boy?

he also enables and validates the bigotry of many others and allows them to feel free to act on it.

7. They can't at this point because the perps are juveniles.

But I hope they can prosecute them as adults because they deserve a lot more than a few months in juvie.

In this case, its a small town, and perps have already been identified in the community and folks are blaming the mother for procreating with a black man..

what race anybody is in this scenario? All it says is that the victim was biracial. I wouldn't put it past any race to bully a biracial kid.

Was a slowly closing wound. Very. Slow.

What trump has done, or rather the election of Barack Obama started, was reopen it.

With Obama many people who shunned racial jokes and stereotypes before, who professed to have "black friends" over for a weekend cookout... All of a sudden they were receptive to social media "jokes" about Obama. Trump pored fuel on this fire with his embrace of white nationalism

I definitely agree - there was still far too much racism around, but it was a "slowly closing wound" as you said. I might say that Obama reopened the wound, and Trump violently tore off the bandage.

the Southern Poverty Law Center has been using since the campaign. They use it to describe the rise in racist and anti-Semitic incidents since Trump started running for President. They can document the rise in incidents. They have tried to help teachers cope with this situation, and tried to help them teach about the 2016 election in a balanced manner.

Please visit the SPLC website and learn about it. SPLC is one of my favorite organizations.

different than themselves?

Parents and relatives.
Friends, neighbors, the community.
Teachers, ministers, police, politicians.
TV shows, the news, 'jokes', history.

It's a miracle, I suppose, that these tragic incidents are occurring more frequently.
