Certainly not the GOP. They would gladly turn them into compost.

(37,364 posts)Bannon or Putin--to destroy the parties and our institutions. I consider them bad actors who offer nothing in good faith. Only destruction and division.

(2,897 posts)about the people (transgender service members, PoC, women) affected by these differences to bother acknowledging them. The worst thing that is going to happen to Susan Sarandon so far this year is that she is going to (hopefully) lose an Emmy to Jessica Lange or Nicole Kidman. Millions of folks who make up those differences between the parties that she so callously ignored are facing cataclysmic life changes.

(46,051 posts)The invasion of Iraq. Anyone who thinks Al Gore would have done that is a plain fool or a liar.

(22,813 posts)I usually only need to give 2 or 3 examples before they concede, that, well, yes there are major differences. Differences such as "wouldn't have invaded Iraq", "Don't try to control women's bodies", "Keep the social safety net in place", "Support policies that will reduce greenhouse emissions", "Support diplomacy and a strong and active State Department", "Support a higher minimum wage", "Support consumers over corporations", etc, etc.

(54,403 posts)....that 99% of those who claim to believe that know perfectly well there is no truth to it, but they repeat it anyway, as it supports their narrative. The Foxsuckers on the right have a greater percentage that really believe the nonsense they spout. There is no excuse for anyone on the left really believing it, as the left doesn't tend to be ideologically attractive to those with an IQ under 50.

(11,122 posts)so many people who do not think. They "feel" or react, but they go through life without thinking, fertile ground for radio racists and russian bots, a waste of organic matter.

(12,448 posts)- for laziness; they don't vote, they don't bother to stay informed;
- for upholding cherished beliefs: politicians are all crooked, nothing ever changes;
- for a chance to sound "superior": only the rubes believe that votes matter
And of course, because they are imbeciles.
