Yeah, that's the problem, really. Back in the good old days, people didn't worry about evacuations and stuff like that. Storms and hurricanes just sort of showed up on the horizon and did their thing. People didn't know they were coming like they do today, so they didn't worry about that stuff, and we didn't get all that advanced news and radar images and things like that.
Science is the problem, see. We just have too much of it, and it scares people. And it's not just the weather, either. What if we didn't even know that Kim Jong Un blew up an H-bomb? Folks can't worry about what they don't know about, after all. Science and technology. They're what's wrong with the world today. We know too much and that causes all that stress and anxiety. Science.
Now, all of you kids get off my lawn and leave me alone, Dammit!

He is sitting in the path of the cane, and telling people it isnt real or not as real as they say, I think he is, but I bet you one thing, he is LONG gone by the time the cane arrives.
