1. The GOP is in charge...we can't affect their policy. We blew 16 and the consequences will be dire.

The only thing we can do is try to win in 18 and 20 and limit the damage somewhat.

granted our official powers are limited, but republicans have certainly been effective in the past with limited official powers.

no reason for us not to try.

But we should gauge our success against the success that obstructionist Republicans enjoyed while the deck was stacked heavily in their favor (much the same as it is stacked now).

run roughshod over us already. We have no power, and if outside groups like our revolution and Move on...who primary Democrats cost us the election...the GOP will win it all because the moderate Repubs will vote with the majority and not us.

the lack of decency, the disrespect for tradition, the flouting of governance norms, and the giving of the middle finger to the will of the people and to the office of the president of the united states is something else entirely.
