Cohn does nothing here to dispel that gossip. In fact, he seems to have largely confirmed it, arguing that tax reform is just that important to get done. He basically suggests that the opportunity is so big and the reform would be so historic that he cant leave his job, no matter what he thinks of Trump ...

A man took a job with the circus. The only position available was to follow the elephants around with a shovel. He hated his job and complained about it every night at dinner. One night, his brother-in-law couldn't take any more of the kvetching and asked the man, "If you hate your job so much, why don't you quit?"
The man answered, incredulously "What, and give up show business?"
That more or less explains the situation in the above post.
