I drove past a couple stations that looked like that on my way home. It's causing a traffic nightmare for the people who don't want to stop for gas. And I have to wonder how much gas they're wasting by waiting in line so long?

The OPEC embargo hit us very hard. I lived near the most expensive station in the area and I remember lines of cars stretching for blocks because everybody thought the Robber Baron station would still have gas after more reasonable owners had run out.

and this should work itself out in 3-4 days. Although I could swear I heard yesterday, on the very same station, "Better top off your tank! Gas prices are going up!". Maybe they should have thought that through a little more carefully.

JEB kept telling us that mythical barges full of gas and diesel were on the way to relieve the crisis.

Wife went out for some things last Friday. A lot of items were missing from the store shelves.

She went out today. Some things still missing, others are restocked. It's hit or mess.

Yesterday the gasoline stations on the way to the freeway were both open with gas and no lines.

Others, I'm sure, were out of gas or had lines.

It's all over the state!

People are the ones causing the shortage! Calm down folks! UGH. Drove by several gas stations on the way home...all of them either out of gas or long lines of cars.

Thanks alot Tricky Ricky! He's the one that got everyone to freak the hell out!

I'm traveling for work so I'm not home right now but have been keeping up with open/closed stations via the tracker gas buddy site.

My town (north of Dallas) of 25,000 has had no open stations, the surrounding bigger suburbs (Allen, Lewisville, The Colony, Frisco) are down to 2 or 3 stations in EACH CITY. Plano has the "most open" but sure as hell not what is needed for a city of 250,000 people. Further north of those suburbs (rural area towns) are either out or have 1 open station.

The tracker site is a sea of red throughout the whole area.

I don't get back home til Sept 11, hoping things settle down by then.

Per my family member's co-worker at home, one guy pulled a gun on someone who "cut in line" at a local station.

I drove about 5 miles and only 2 out 9 stations had gas. The ones that did had huge lines. Worse than the Arab oil embargo.

Now Mr. LeftinTX is out looking for gas after I told him how bad it was...

Most places out, a couple that do have gas have extreme lines. We got lucky this am and went to little neighborhood 7/11, no lines but did pay $2.75 for 89%.
Drove to North Dallas and on drive back to Irving it was crazy everywhere.
Media created panic and then later today said panic was creating the chaos and shortages.

Prices are fluctuating......but definitely going up towards the $3 to $4 range.
