(57,349 posts)Our road and driveway will probably be flooded again, last year we couldn't leave the house for two days when we got four inches of rain in a short time.
And it seems like the worst weather always comes at night, I hate not being able to see what's going on.
Stay safe, spanone.

(9,291 posts)Berea, in Kentucky is gonna get hit. I never could believe how many areas here flood and everywhere you look is a creek. You think mountains, you're ok. Then you figure out the lovely backdrop is because you're in the valley.
So, I'll pick up some supplies and watch what this place does. Still better then living 20 miles from the ocean, how much better I will find out shortly.

(57,349 posts)It was crazy here couple hours ago, rainfall amounts were 3"/hour.
Our road and driveway are under 2-3 feet of water but our house is on a rise so no worries. My boyfriend works nights so he'll have to park at a neighbor's down the road and hike home. They put new drains in last year after the road flooded but with this amount of water it doesn't matter.
