"We respectfully request that Greenville City Council, adopts and approves a resolution requesting special permission from the state and our Governor to relocate the confederate statue that is currently located on North Main Street, in front of the Springwood cemetery to the Confederate Museum ...
"We also understand that if the statute cannot be relocated to the more appropriate confederate museum, that City of Greenville should immediately adopt a resolution that would restrict the city from maintaining and or provide maintenance to the statue. Furthermore, if we are incorrect in our belief that the statue can be relocated, we would respectfully ask that City Council immediately without fail, completely cover the statue until the court rules on the constitutionality of the Heritage Act from a law-suit that was filed in March of last year" ...
