I noticed on Huffington Post this morning they are reporting that FOX News is closing up shop in

England and shutting down broadcasting there because "nobody is watching" them there. I can't help but wonder when that will happen here in the U.S. The toxic fakery that is FOX's hallmark will one day be a footnote in media history. I hope that history arrives sooner rather than later if for no other reason than the sanity of old people so that they can die off peacefully instead of in a FOX induced rage.

The health benefits for the elderly when FOX dies off will probably save the social security and Medicare budgets all by itself. The collective blood pressure of the nation will be calmed and the need for medical interventions for depression and homicidal alcoholism will collapse from disuse.

I'm sure other benefits from the de-FOXification of America will be evident across the social and political spectrums. It's all so exciting to think of it. Imagine though the chagrin of America being behind England in smarts. Kinda embarrassing, ya know?

The thing is England doesn't have something we do - the AM hate radio machine. And whether or not Rush Limbaugh is in the spotlight, he's still the leader of this group. He, and countless others - whether it's Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Jim Bakker, Billy Graham, and so on, still get a platform to spread their hateful message, and there are advertisers profiting off it. I'd like to think that once he does of a massive coronary like most GOPers will, that will cause people to wake the fuck up. But if that doesn't, I'm afraid nothing will.

Mostly in the form of religious stations. For work, I often travel to rural areas here in the plains. I've noticed a lot more of them popping up on the radio in the last few years. And they don't even bother to hide their political agenda either.

thought it was their divine right to take over the countryside.

Ergo, they can read the signs of fascism and coming oppression better than most of our fellow Americans can.

We are in our infantile stage, as far as nations go.
