At the end of "Bridge on the River Kwai"

*spoilers*

Alec Guinness realizes that he has just tried to save the bridge he helped build for the Japanese from demolition by Allied forces (led by William Holden) he looks up and says; "What have I done?"

I hope there are a lot of Trump voters out there that feel that way now.

What a wonderful movie. I made my mother take me to it three times one summer when I was just 10.

In fact, it may be my favorite all-time movie. In any case the Guinness character is perfectly believable and suddenly comes to his senses. Sadly I do no think most trump supporters will ever have such a revelation.

Guinness refuses to cooperate with the Japanese unless he and his officers get preferential treatment. The peon grunts can go the hell. That sounds like a tRump supporter. Then they slam him in the hot box to make him change his mind, but he won't relent. That sounds like a tRump supporter, too.
