Too bad they weren't more specific as to distraction, tho. God picked misogynistic & bigoted Texas as an answer. Notice pseudo-Christians aren't blaming sinful behavior f/ the disaster, like they did w/ Katrina & other "acts of god."

This is a major story that will dominate the news for a while but as rescue and rebuilding start to commence it will move from the top of the headlines.

On the other hand, I doubt Robert Mueller's office has halted its work simply because there was a hurricane and flooding in Texas.

The last two big ones - a flood in Louisiana that destroyed the house of Tony Perkins (who has made claims that natural disasters are signs of God's wrath), and a hurricane set to hit Hawaii but petered out - probably has the evangelicals jonesin' pretty hard. Hell, the whole Obama's state attacked by God bit would have given them weeks of material and fundraising.
