What If Trump Left the Republican Party?

https://politicalwire.com/2017/08/27/what-if-trump-left-gop/

"SNIP............

Aaron Blake: “I wouldn’t be the first to note that it seems, well, counterproductive to attack your own party’s leaders. It’s entirely possible that this is Trump simply trying to motivate his team in his own divisive, Trump-ian way. It’s also possible he’s just lashing out and doesn’t actually have a plan.”

“But there’s also an Option C here. What if Trump, fed up by a lack of progress and fealty, is ready to take on his own party? What if, having systematically attacked what seems like every other institution involved in American government — the judiciary, the intelligence community, the press, the election process, law enforcement, Congress — he’s now set to attack and undermine the institution whose nomination he commandeered to obtain the presidency? What if he simply ditched the Republican Party, either officially or in spirit?”

It's not out of the question that he could win a second term as a non-party candidate Ken Burch Aug 2017 #2

Then tRump would have no need for Airforce 1.

The fact remains that he has committed several impeachable offenses already, and the GOP has stood by him because they rely on his base. Even if he renounced the party, I'm willing to be the GOP would still stand by him.

The question, then, is what his supporters, more than a few of whom are heavily armed, would do when BOTH parties in Congress repeatedly rejected any legislation he wanted passed and joined forces to vote to remove him from office.

I can't imagine Pence joining him in a breakaway ticket(the guy still wants to be president, and he knows leaving the GOP would be the end of the line), so we'd have to assume it's Trump will have chosen a running mate that would willingly act as a puppet while Trump gave orders from his lair at Trump Tower.

Sarah Palin would be right there for Veep.

If MAGA party, then all the members can be referred to as "MAGAtts". Which fits a bunch of repulsive pale insects.

And he could get elected President of West Virginia, and maybe Kentucky.
