everything donnie knows about politics he learned from foxnews.

his entire campaign, and many of his tweets since, are simply regurgitating and cheerleading of things he saw on foxnews, often the night before or even just house or minutes earlier.

that's it. that's all he's got. taking his lead foxnews and then simply bringing that rant to a different venue. a campaign rally, a debate, a speech, whatever.

he has no idea how to set an agenda because foxnews never shows that. they *have* an agenda and implement it in their programming, but they never show their viewers how that's done, so donnie has no idea how to do that.

he has no idea how to debate other than the foxnews style of confrontation, interruption, shouting, digging in, denying, lying, etc.

of course he can't negotiate and compromise because on foxnews, the right-wing simply insists they're right and the fake left they bring in always caves. victory is served up on a silver platter on foxnews, so all donnie can do is get frustrated and angry and lash out when it doesn't happen that way in real life.

he has no idea as to the mechanics of governance, because foxnews doesn't cover that. occasionally, they'll rail against one particular rule, like the filibuster, and donnie will rant about that one rule. but he has no idea how it fits into a whole set of rules and procedures because again, foxnews doesn't get into that.

donnie has brought only the worst of his business experience to the table. the grifting, the burning of nearly everyone he interacts with, the obsession over image and branding over substance, etc.

so at this point it's clear that he's nothing more than your average foxnews viewer. scary as it may be, though, in fairness to foxnews viewers, most of them would actually make a vastly better president. their policies wouldn't be any better, but they'd probably be more competent and capable of learning at least the mechanics of the office.

scary.

this is where the republican party is these days. they built themselves a propaganda arm, a hardcore base steeped in that propaganda. unfortunately, now they're breathing their own exhaust and the president is nothing more than a product of their own propaganda, in fact, someone incapable of operating outside that bubble.
