I heard an apology from a trump supporter

In class the discussion turned briefly to politics, and *45 when one of our guys said he had something to say, he apologized for voting for trump. He said his father had swayed him and they both regret it.

Being in California his vote wasn't one to be concerned with, but we all thanked him (a couple"you should be sorry!" ) And he's learned his lesson.

Though I cannot imagine either of my parents "swaying" me after I reached voting age.

Glad you thanked him and didn't disparage him.

So I can see it.

In general you are correct, it's usually the kids influencing the parents.

I convinced my parents to vote for Dukakis after I graduated from college. After Bush sent my brother off to fight in Iraq it was very easy to convince them to vote for Clinton.

True, no one predicted it would be THIS bad, but all the lies, the issues with women, the hate and anger, the negativity, more lies, grabbing women's crotches, encouraging violence at his rallies - all of that was there during the campaign.

...hear his reasoning on both sides of his decision. Why he ever voter for T and why he regrets it. Just to be able to immunize his critical thinking against ever voting for Repugs again.

If he regrets for the wrong reasons, then we've made no gain. Wonder, for instance, how he feels about the VP ---our President in a few months, (probably).
