No Donald, no one is taking away YOUR

history or heritage.

Last night he said (not the first time I'm pretty sure): "And yes, by the way -- and yes, by the way, they are trying to take away our history and our heritage."

Trump's grandfather came from Germany to avoid the draft there. His grandmother came from Germany and his mother from Scotland. Two of his three wives are immigrants. Not one member of his family ever served in any branch of the U.S. military or fought for this country. Donald Trump's history and heritage is one of immigrants, which is ironic as he used hatred of immigrants to help get elected.

I have come to lie to you about our bonds of kinship, not to take away our monuments.

I used to ask my students why everyone thought that W was a down to earth, normal person when he was born into a billionaire family and sent to Ivy League schools. Well, it's a rhetorical device used to deceive the idiots who idolize him. This is nothing new. Rethugs have been doing this for decades. tRump is very good at descending to level of the riff raff who voted for him.

that except for the money, Trump is just like them, even though he has a history of treating the "common people" like dirt. People are there to serve him and of course adore him.

Ironically we had two presidents in recent years who came from modest backgrounds, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, yet they were tagged as out-of-touch elites. They would much rather have a gold-plated New York quasi billionaire, who they think relates to them.

Even if he wasn't 100% Repub when running, he has been very right ever since.

Trump has no convictions, so whatever party serves him and his needs, that's where he'll go. The republican party, however, does compliment his inherent racism, xenophobia, and sexism.

wasn't born until after the Civil War. Trump claims a history and heritage that he doesn't know or care about anyway.

I read that he was arrested at one of their rallies. Maybe he was there to protest white supremacy?

if Germany had only taken pity on the guy and let him stay. The Trumps are a good argument for stricter immigration laws, ah the irony.
