What Happened

How did Hillary Clinton lose to this moron now in the White House??

Nothing about it is rational.

They hated Hillary for a reason.

Maybe she had been in the spotlight too long? Maybe years and years of propaganda against her finally took its toll? Maybe the Trump supporters were naive enough to believe what the con-artist was selling them?

There is no rational explanation that I can see.

Now, his supporters pretend that it is just as they planned. All the chaos and insanity is exactly what they wanted and what they voted for. Anyway, anybody to the left of Maxine Waters is a Nazi, they laughingly tell themselves. They have no idea how sick they truly are.

1. the media refused to cover the general election campaign as it should have done: as the most boring,

most widely predicted cake-walk ever. the most qualified, experienced, sensible candidate against a completely inexperienced, bigoted, idiotic con man who brings nothing to the table and is nothing more than an avid fox news viewer.

if they had the slightest sense of civic responsibility, they would have covered hillary's policies in great depth, because it was a near inevitability that they would become real policies and quite possibly real laws. the should have covered donnie's crap like they covered bigoted idiots in the past, barely giving them the time of day and always describing them as way out of the mainstream.

not to mention highlighting all of his lies, explaining how damaging (both to the country and his own political future) his constant attacks against large segments of the american population would predictably be, exposing his frauds and failures and bankruptcies and civil cases and so on endlessly.

most of the coverage was of donnie not hillary; most of donnie's coverage was of his policies; most of hillary's coverage was of her "scandals". this is all exactly the reverse of what should have been.

the media clearly wanted a more exciting campaign than an inevitable hillary would have provided, so in the fine tradition of yellow journalism, they did every thing they could to make the candidate they considered more entertaining president.

Even though he's turned his rage on them as 'fake news' and 'the enemy of the people,' they still eat it up for the ratings

The election was won until repug hack Comey's letter.

It's not really that much of a mystery.

6. True, but there's so much more.

Comey's letter was merely the last, final act of the non-stop disaster that was the media coverage of the campaign.

Had they covered the entire campaign remotely reasonably, hillary would have gone from 65% down to maybe 63% and still won in a landslide.

9. Possibly, but she was leading in the polls before the letter and dropped sharply after.

What you describe is probably true but unprovable.

The polls after the letter are proven facts.

women have to be twice as good as men to be considered half as good

Hillary was held to impossible standards while Trump was held to no standards at all

8. Looking for logic in all the wrong places

You seem to expect people to vote logically, for their own self-interests. But sometimes they vote for other reasons--to poke someone in the eye, to shake things up, to destroy what they can't solve...think the modern Batman's Joker. They will dance around the fire until it burns them and then blame the kindling for being out of control.
