Is Trump doing campaign rallies to raise money for legal fees?

Maybe this has been discussed already but isn't it too early to start raising money for re-election for president? Could it be that Trump is doing all of this "campaigning" to raise money to be used for his future legal fees?

Of course, I know he likes the free TV coverage and the adoring crowds,

And then the puppeteer Putin probably ordered him to cause as much division and rancor as possible.

The Clintons have life stories people want to pay to read and to hear about, and they capitalized on that.

Trump ALSO had a life story people wanted to pay to read, but he published it in 1987. Anyone willing to pay to read about Trump already has a copy of The Art of the Deal. So, the only Gravy Train Trump can look forward to comes in 25-pound bags.

Aside from being able to use it as a slush fund, it's giving him the appearance of working when he is not.

The trouble for Donald Jr. is that in order to tap into the campaign funds to pay for his lawyer, he must assert that his legal costs were generated by his role in the campaign. But this limits the range of his other defenses because this concession forecloses any defense that the famous meeting in Trump Tower with Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort and the Russians wasn’t a campaign event. He can’t have it both ways. Either it was a campaign event which opens him up to possible liability for violations of the ban on foreign solicitations or it was not a campaign event and he owes the Trump campaign $50,000 for his legal fees.

but I doubt the rallies themselves are money makers. They are purely for ego stroking.

Applause and cheers are his drug of choice. Withdraw them, and he will be a broken man.

Putin didn't have to order him to do anything, he just got this ignorant, raging narcissist into office. He knew what would happen.

As a campaign rally, it doesn't have to be open to the public. You have to buy a ticket.
