Mnuchin's wife

What a (fill in the blank).

She's a C movie actress who married money. Good for her. Doesn't make her Marie Antoinette. Or, in her view, it does.

For those who may not know, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia on the Birkin bag: The bag is currently in fashion as a symbol of wealth due to its high price and use by celebrities. Birkins are the most popular bag with handbag collectors, and Victoria Beckham owns over 100 of them. Its prices range from $11,900.00 to $300,000.00.

a working class woman, I'd be willing to bet real money that she didn't marry for true love. She's really a vile piece of work.

Beckham, and others should form the Imelda Marcos Club.

For Victoria, assume the avetage is $15,000 per bag, and she has only 100 bags, that's $1,500,000. Ever heard of Save the Children, Southern Poverty Law, Legal Defense Fund or any other charity. I thought the Beckhams were real people. Nope.

I return unimpressed. Ten years from now, you'll find them for ten bucks at consignment shops. There is nothing about them to justify the pricing except a bunch of spoiled trophy wives thought the design was different enough from other mass produced handbags to buy them for a while.

My Depression baby mother always told me the best way to have money was to hang onto it when you got it. I guess that is no longer true now that they're all getting it from the government through unjust taxes and low wages.

and she is a failing actress with few credits to her name approaching the age where Hollywood simply won't cast her anymore (except as the suburban mom roles)... so she snags the billionaire who was on the hunt for a trophy wife 18 years younger than him...

One can argue whether Hollywood is fair to mid-thirties and older women (it is not).

But she made a conscious decision to marry for money and comforts herself with her expensive fashion items... and then wants to lash out at anyone who dares question the very items she coveted and had to marry a soulless investment banker to afford.

She had a bit part in the Warren Beatty film about Howard Hughes, "Rules Don't Apply." It was actually a very well done and quite amusing film, that got no attention last year. Worth watching.

Mrs. Mnuchin (or whatever her acting name is) played one of the young actresses that Hughes was grooming at the studio . I don't really remember her in particular in it, but I see she was in it ... one of the blonde girls.

The money would go to a charity. It might be a Hermes Birkin bag, but in the end it's just "stuff."
