5. At the risk of being considered a traitor

Like any other group of people, some veterans are not nice people.
Some aren't terribly bright. Some are violent. Some are racist.
To compensate for the admittedly horrible treatment of Vietnam Vets, we have gone overboard in acting like every veteran, even those who were never deployed, are super heroes.
We shouldn't be surprised that some of them are racist assholes.
