Trump Demise Tragedy For Nation As Well As Trump. THE GOP PRICKS OWN THIS MESS.
As much as I hate Trump and what he has done so far, it is bittersweet in a way to see a fool make a fool of himself and crash miserably as Trump is now likely to do. It is a tragedy for the nation in that it will still do lasting damage to this country because the GOP will not let us untangle this mess. The country will likely survive but will limp along severely wounded.
And to add to it all we will be facing a more powerful and dangerous white supremacist movement. Militias and KK will be a future factor. Racism will have a semblance of legitimacy it never could have had without Trump and the GOP race baiting for 50 years.
Trump should have never happened in the first place. And if the GOP really did accomplish their vote rigging mission and beat Hillary THEY OWN THIS DAMNED DISASTER. But will they pay for it. Not likely because of our very damaged and weakened independent media.
And in the end, the end of Trump leaves us with Pence who is no better and could be a lot worse. He is the radical Christians' poster boy who could establish a close marriage of religion with governing. And the GOP is very likely to help all it can. So even if Trump is gone we face even greater danger because the religious right wants totalitarian rule. Of course that means that it is not likely to happen. Then again we never expected Trump.
The GOP expected that they would get a GOP president because they so compromised this last election. LET'S FACE IT BLUNTLY. This electi smells like a dead mackerel. We KNOW in our hearts the GOIP fucked this country royally with vote rigging and treason. They invited the Russians to do their dirty work and we know it.
