Wisconsin man cancels fascist barbecue and flees neo-Nazi group after public backlash

Another white supremacist rally has been canceled in the wake of the backlash that followed the Charlottesville, Virginia protest. However, this one has a unique twist.

In recent weeks, Nazi and white supremacists have claimed that they would be hosting additional events in opposition to monuments to Confederate generals being taken down across the United States. One was to be held in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, according to WQOW, but it has now been canceled.

They initially claimed the event was part of the National Socialist Movement and would be a barbecue meet and greet. They planned to gather at a local park Sept. 16, but the event has been canceled until further notice.

After announcing the event, a petition was posted trying to prevent the group from gathering. So far, over 1,200 people have signed it and a copy was sent to members of the city council.

Typical criminal loser:

The site that revealed Klicko’s information described him as someone who “appears to not even be able to hold a job or support his own children. This Nazi cant [sic] even ‘secure a future’ for his own kids. Public court records show that he had to be sued to pay child support. By night he engages in armed robbery, obstructing an officer, bail jumping, driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and theft of movable property.”

I mean, they've been ordained by God personally to lord over all the other, lesser races, and yet they don't seem to have exactly risen to the top of the social structure after all these centuries. And, when they encounter the least bit of opposition, instead of turning their divine power on us mongrels, they turn tail and skedaddle.

Now that I have the snark out of my system, I will say that liberals need to figure out a way to make people like Cory Klicko not feel quite so alienated from the rest of society. That doesn't mean kowtowing to their racist beliefs, but I think a lot of what feeds our latter day Nazis is their feeling that the society they once knew has passed them by. Maybe they're unreachable, I don't know. But we should do what we can to assuage their fears. Yes, when others were in the minority, the Klickos abused them with regularity and gusto. Now that the Klickos aren't the undisputed rulers of society, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to be on the receiving end of the abuse they doled out so freely in years past.
