Video of President Donald Trump’s campaign-style rally in Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday night shows that the event failed to draw the blockbuster attendance that he had proclaimed from the podium.

As Trump began speaking at his event last night, he noted that Secret Service had informed him that very few protesters were outside the convention center. But he also implored the fire marshal to allow more people into the event, suggesting that the room was packed.

But video posted online by U.S. News & World Report correspondent David Catanese? account tells a different story. The video clearly shows that a large portion of the convention center floor was empty.

It was hot outside where they stood in line, water wasn't allowed in the building (?) and Trump rambled uninterestingly for an hour.

My favorite part (though I didn't watch much) was "I wish we could show you the size of this crowd!" and they didn't. Because they couldn't...

It's interesting to note the 20-person wide section of bleachers that filled the frame to give the illusion of a packed arena. It's very much like how when they shoot sports movies they use a few hundred extras to only fill the seats directly behind the angle they are filming to give the illusion of a full arena. That's why they couldn't cut away to show the size of the crowd. There wasn't much of one! Looks like they were packed into a corner of the room also to make it look crowded.

Looks like a couple hundred to me. Also, I absolutely believe alot of them are gawkers: Attendance does not necessarily equate total support. I know a few people who went to a campaign rally who already hated him, they just went to see the imbecile in person.
