Connected by their faith in order and global norms, these military leaders are rapidly consolidating power throughout the executive branch ...

Military personnel have no business making policy for government or managing military strategy without real government oversight. Obviously with the buffoon in the Oval it seems like a safety net to prevent him doing anything too insane, but it shouldn't be needed and really isn't ok.

When exactly will it be clear? When Trump resigns? When Trump is "removed". When he is carried away in a straight jacket? When he and his entire family are charged with money laundering, high crimes and treason?

Everything is in place. Generals and corporations. Evangelical nut jobs. What more is needed?

intentionally plan a coup or anything like that. but just like having so called business people who know nothing else in government they will view things in a way that doesn't work outside of that area.

this is why outside of things concerning defense kelly, mcmaster, mattis etc don't seem as much involved. just because they don't think about it as much unless it affects them like when mattis got angry at the transgender ban in the military.

and someone like trump who has no intersest, is bored and too stupid to read and listen to these issues will make it easy to let them do what they want.

but i read that mattis was the one who wanted him to give that speech and to own the afghanistan policy rather than give him the chance to blame the generals if/when something bad happens.
