Off-script hour-long meltdown

BY MAYA KOSOFF
AUGUST 22, 2017 11:27 PM

... Trump repeatedly ditched his TelePrompTer and went off-script as he ranted about being mistreated by the media in the wake of Charlottesville, relentlessly attacked an array of enemies including both of Arizona’s Republican senators, and portrayed himself as the true victim of a violent clash between white supremacists and counter-protesters that left one woman dead. Journalists and other social media commentators watched, stunned, as he proceeded to spend the rest of his hourlong speech unloading on the mainstream press, praising a CNN pundit who was fired for tweeting a Nazi slogan, and re-litigating his .. response to Charlottesville, line by line ...

He berated the New York Times, the Washington Post, and CNN in one breath, and flatly defended himself against charges of racism. "And then they say, is he a racist? And then I did a second one," he said, referring to another statement he gave. "And then I said, racism is evil. Did they report that I said racism was evil? They all say what a bad guy I am. And then you wonder why CNN is doing relatively poorly in the ratings. They put seven people, all anti-Trump, and then they fired Jeffrey Lord! Poor Jeffrey" ...

For a speech that was .. supposed to demonstrate that he had no hate in his heart, Trump’s rally was filled with barbed attacks on all variety of people who he said had no place in America. Trump spoke broadly about “liberating our towns” from undocumented immigrants, citing Joe Arpaio, pledging to purge “sanctuary cities” of undocumented immigrants and leading the crowd in a “build the wall” chant. He threatened a government shutdown if the wall he wants constructed between the U.S. and Mexico isn’t approved. And, after the White House said Trump wouldn’t pardon Arpaio during his rally in Phoenix, Trump hinted that a pardon would come ...

The president reserved a few positive words for his friends in the conservative media—the only truthful people, he seemed to claim, in a country full of fake news. Trump sang the praises of Fox News and “honest guy” Sean Hannity, specifically, unlike the rest of the mainstream press ...

Can you imagine any other POTUS - of either party - behaving like this?? And it's hardly the first time. Where's the outrage - from the media?? Remember when Obama wore that tan suit?

I actually felt ill for days. Little did I dream how bad it could actually get. Given the choice between Bush* and Trump, it isn't even a contest.

At least you don't need to worry about his entourage closing the airports or blocking the roads! Is there brush in the area for him to clear? LOL. I actually feel nostalgia for Bush* - he'll never be a favorite, but he stands head and shoulders over Trump.

Plus there is always his liebrary to drop in on oh and wounded vets to hang with and paint....

And he's better than Trump.

I honestly can't believe I'm going to end my life this way....
I just can't believe it. Will be hitting milestone 60 end of September.

for both W and this human shitpile. They stand quietly by while this maniac spews hate and divides the country. Too bad they do not have any INTELLIGENT people to run for the WH. We saw how they disrespected President Obama, he is CLASSY, intelligent, GROWN UP, knows what he speaks about. Nobody like that belongs in the wH representing the gop. They are systematically destroying this country letting this orange puke rant like a 3 year old. I hope the entire group goes down in flames, along with tRump and his entire money grubbing family.

Thoughtful people with eyes, ears and a working brain could see Trump for what he is before the election. I and many others didn't need Hillary to tell me what a disaster Trump would be as President, we saw it ourselves.
For the record, Bernie also warned us about Trump.

And like a child, he continues to gravitate towards the nearest thing to a compassionate mother figure: his empty-headed base.

It doesn't seem to register that his groupies' numbers are diminishing with every passing day. He hides behind them, thinking they will rise to his defense, take to the streets, when Mueller's Silver Hammer comes down upon his head.

At this point, they're outnumbered, 2 to 1. Living in the echo chamber has left Trump deaf to the noises outside it. You can't outrun this, Donald. You did the crime, you'll do the time. Your base may cry, but they'll get over it soon enough. And then you're a convict and they're on to their next favorite shiny object.

Heard this yesterday about that woman's Instagram rant. Absolutely love it. It applies 1000% to that man in the white house.
