Incendiary Rants Will Continue. Strategy Is To Fracture The Nation.

Spreading chaos and confusion is what Trump wants. Using racism and bigotry works and he believes will increase his base and power. So expect the rhetoric to get more divisive, hateful and incendiary. He wants his base to fight and go after the left.

It is the Apprentice show inflicted on the nation with all the same tactics. It is about creating winners and losers and firing people. And in the end it is about marginalizing and weakening or destroying the left politically.

It is a dangerous game egging your supporters to attack the other side. But that is what Trump does. it is natural to his nature to create conflict.

This time, Trump will lose. He can't continue to attack the 4th estate (what's left of it) and survive. They helped to create him, they will take him out.

DT's maladministration is accomplishing precisely what the reactionary right and the analstocrasy have been dreaming about for decades.

Every firestorm DT sets alight with his verbal diarrhea (please forgive the mixed metaphors) distracts from the systematic destruction of hard won regulatory protections and vital programs designed to make inroads against social and economic injustice.

His words are outrageous. They grab headlines -- rightfully so. But they also draw our attention away from the destruction being wrought by the people he's put in control of the levers of power within the executive branch (people who are at best incompetent, at worst the embodiment of evil).

The legislative branch is our voice; our will. The executive branch implements our will. The destruction of executive functions is the destruction of our power to make our will manifest. Even with the dysfunctional electoral system, we have been able to make our voices heard. DT has not been able to make legislative advances. But they are dismantling essential executive functions, and in so doing, they thwart our will and render us impotent to do anything about it. We need to focus on figuring out ways to stop or slow what they are doing. We can't do that if we are too distracted by the "Trump show."

Whether his bizarre behavior is intended to disrupt and distract, or is simply the result of his psychopathic narcissism, we need to recognize the effect: misdirection.

I'd like to revisit his journal, but can't figure out how to link to it on the old DU.

Regarding this from the post from Senator I linked to:

But we must do so loudly -- at every opportunity, in large and small ways -- and in ways that make others uncomfortable. Yes, "Violence" is the answer.

A clarification from another post

So, how do we overcome this -- what do we do right now?

Get violent. (Come again?!?) No, not physically violent. Rather intellectually, politically, and rhetorically violent. We are dealing with fascist thugs/cowards and must deal with them and their tactics accordingly. The public and euphemedia must be slapped to attention and our "leaders" and/or the perpetrators must be forced and/or frightened into action and/or surrender.

This violence is in self-defense. These people don't listen to reason. In fact, they pride themselves on their preference for "belief." Labels like theocracy, monarchy, totalitarian, and authoritarian are irrelevant -- it's all some form of fascism; the conviction that some minority has a right to rule the majority. Whether it's based on divine right, a master race, a family dynasty, or a power theory makes absolutely no difference.

It is Anti-American. And it needs to fought, not managed.
