I had a thought(uh oh). We have States that clearly believe in the precepts of the defeated
confederacy. Statues, flags and laws abound in these states that support these ideas. Celebrations of what real Americans consider to be traitors and war criminals are common. They hail the slaughter of American troops sent to quell their insurrection. Estimates say that close to a million people died in this seditious, treasonous, evil clash. They proclaim that one day they will rise again, apparently to slaughter more Americans.
So my thought concerns money.
Here is the thought. From this point on all ex confederate states will be paid their federal government subsidies in confederate currency. Almost all these southern slave states are takers and not givers. Without the largesse of the maker Northern (Union) states these states would collapse into anarchy and starvation.
If they really want to be of "the Cause" then prove it. Show us that you are what you claim to be, a superior segment of society. It would be a non violent way to prove your are right. If you have any honor at all you will immediately refuse to use the good old green back and start using confederate cash, no checks please. I'm pretty sure a wheel barrow of confederate cash would get you something, maybe a bowl of grits, or a nice white hood.
