Mitchell offered her response. It was eloquent but here was the nut:
I have never been as discouraged as I have been this week about our country
You should read the statement in full below
Im an optimist. I have never been as discouraged as I have been this week about our country. Not the people of our country but the leaders of our country. There is a central corruption of the spirit at the core of all of this, and people have overlooked a lot of the financial self-dealing and a lot of the other thing along the way, but when you keep making excuses, you get to the center of it, and all I see is self love. and that is not leadership. I dont know where I dont know where we go here. I do think that you have senators Tim Scott, others, Ted Cruz, who could have thought Ted Cruz would be more compassionate and loving and show more character this week than the president of the United States? Its just totally confounding. Im waiting to see what House leaders do, but someone has to go, and thinking back, someone has to be the Hugh Scott and Barry Goldwater who go to the White House and say this cannot continue. You have got to get this into shape. I dont know when that happens or who those people are and whether hell listen.

(36,437 posts)Andrea Mitchell has significant culpability in whatever happens under Trump. Her bizarre hatred for Hillary Clinton and endless, senseless email stories were a major plank in the machine that led to Trump's election.

This harpy old witch made it her personal crusade to destroy Hillary, day in and day out for years. So now she can live with the fruits of her labors and just shut up about it.
