Dayton area confederate plaque removed overnight.

http://www.journal-news.com/news/confederate-marker-warren-county-will-removed/eEPO7XwsIfJdmkq2GQSm4H/

A rock with a plaque at the intersection of Dixie and Hamilton highways was removed overnight. Most people probably didn't even know it was there. When the city of Franklin annexed some land from the unincorporated township, this was part of the dowry.

The conversations about removing it started yesterday and there was some difference of opinion among city leadership. Plan was to return it to the township and let them do what they want with it. First reports of it's removal were at 5:30am as folks started their morning commute.

While no big deal physically, probably only knee high with a plaque area no bigger than a small political yard sign, it's good to see some communities saying nothing it too small to overlook when it comes to celebrating racism.

...I say in my best John Cleese Monty Python voice: "I fart in your general direction". That is what that name you mentioned deserves.
